In the last six years, we've seen tremendous growth in terms of how people spend their time and resources on decorating their places, whether it's their offices or their homes. This has a lot to do with rising wealth, increased exposure to international brands, and the development of a unique design taste among the younger generation. There is also a growing demand for Indian-themed wallpapers. Due to a vast selection of patterns, brilliant colour possibilities, and a perceived luxury vibe, Indian theme wallpapers are becoming increasingly popular.

My initial reason for starting Life N Colors nine years ago was the absence of genuine, high-quality international brands for home design, particularly for walls. Nowadays, there are a greater variety of brands to choose from. However, I still perceive a gap, which is India's lack of Indian-themed wallpapers and wall concepts. The majority of the available International Wallpapers, for example, have colossal damask or floral designs that are more appropriate for Western countries. In India, most homes now have Indian themes. Thus we must have Indian theme wallpaper available.

Indian art and culture are rich and diverse, and it has been an integral part of the nation’s identity and heritage for thousands of years. The variety of art and architecture that has been created over time is a testament to the fact that Indian culture is ever-evolving.

The themes of Indian culture are often depicted in the wallpapers of homes around the world. These themes include traditional Indian patterns, such as the paisley and floral, and Indian art forms, such pichwai, warli. There are so many ways to express your individuality with these themes. You can get a luxury feel to your home with these themes. The best part is that they don’t require a lot of time or money to install.

Some of the critical differences between western and Indian art forms that we have identified are: first, Indian art forms have a unique story behind them. For example, whether it is Mughal art, Warli art, Madhubani art, or Rajasthani art, there is always a great story behind it, which makes it more lively. The second point is that most of these art forms are quite colourful. It must be stated that just because most art forms have a story behind them does not mean that there is always a religious perspective involved. Often, these stories are about a particular way of life, a portrayal of nature, or thoughts; in this manner, even abstract Indian art forms can provide a unique perspective.

Fusion designs are one of the design experiments we're performing with Life and Colors. What we're doing with these patterns is blending western or abstract motifs with Indian designs and integrating them to make extremely stunning modern wallpapers.
